Anna Christoffersson
Praises rained over Anna Christoffersson when she and Steve Dobrogosz presented their Grammy-nominated debut album with the duet “It’s Always You” in 2006.
“It’s Always You” was also one of the most sold among Swedish Jazz albums last year. Anna was instantly named our new jazz-hope by the enthusiastic critics. Since then, Anna and Steve have played around Sweden as a duet. They were, among other places, guests at the Stockholm Jazz Festival in Stockholm for two consecutive summers.
During this time, Anna also found time to write material for her fi rst solo album titled “One”, which marked the start for her solo carrier.
Most of her songs are composed and written by her as well. On “One”, jazz, blues and gospel is always present, with infl uences from soul, pop and RnB.
Together with producer Pablo Donaldo, who also contributed with his music on some of the tracks, has handpicked Anna for “One”. Oddjobs driving engine, the amazing percussion and bass players, Janne Robertson and Peter Forss, can be heard performing on most of the songs. Goran Kajfes contributes with his usual brilliant trumpet play. Nisse Landgren and Dungens glimmering guitarist, Reine Fiske, also appear as guest artists.
